FAQs

How do I book an appointment?

Please fill out a booking form. I try my best to reply within the week.

Can I bring someone with me?

No, our shop is a little too cozy for extra guests.

What methods of payment do you accept?

Currently, I am only taking cold hard cash at the appointment. Please come prepared. A price quote is just that, we may go over or under. I always suggest clients budget for an extra 30 minutes, just in case. :)

What if I need to cancel my appointment?

Appointments that need to be rescheduled require a weeks notice to keep their deposits. Otherwise the client will be required to pay a new deposit to reschedule. Appointments cancelled 24 hours or less before the appointment will be automatically charged half of the estimated cost, this includes no calls/no shows.

Do you take custom requests?

Yes! Please take a look through my previous work to get an idea of what styles and subject matters I work with. All custom tattoos require a drawing fee ($50-$100) to be paid at the same time as the deposit.

The drawing fee does not go towards the hourly cost of the tattoo (the deposit does). It is to help cover the time I spend creating a specialized piece for the client.

Can I see my custom design beforehand?

No.

Clients will see the design at the appointment. At this time only minor changes can be made.

If the client requires too many changes (Something that would take more than 30 minutes) the appointment will need to be rescheduled.

Can I use numbing cream?

No! If you come in with numbing cream you will be sent home. Your appointment will be considered cancelled and you’ll have to pay the deposit again.

What’s your hourly rate?

$175/hr, $300 minimum. I am happy to send a quote in response to the booking form.

For custom tattoos, there is a non-refundable $50-$100 drawing fee. This does not contribute to the hourly cost of the tattoo. It covers the time I spend creating a unique and specialized piece.

What is the industry’s tipping etiquette?

I get asked this a lot. And I know it can be a touchy subject, but here it is… Tipping is not required but always greatly appreciated. It is the best way to show your artist you appreciate their time and hard work. Like other areas of the service industry, 15-20% of the total charge is standard.

How can I prepare for the tattoo/does it hurt?

I strongly recommend clients refrain from alcohol and other blood thinners (like ibuprofen) 48 hours before the appointment. Always eat a good meal before getting a tattoo, and always bring snacks and water to your appointments.

Yes, of course it hurts! I tell my clients, all tattoos hurt so just get it where you want. And I also remind them, if it was really that bad people wouldn’t do it every day.
